Blanca Van Hoordee
Bio
Panamanian artist Blanca Van Hoorde began her career in art in 1998, working in sculpture and modeling at the University of Panama under the tutelage of maestro Estanislao Arias. She was also a participant in the 4th Art Biennial at the MAC Panama Museum of Contemporary Art.
She has participated in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions, competitions, collaborations, and auctions.
She recently gained recognition for incorporating performance art into museums and public heritage sites. She was nominated for an honorable mention in the 2023 Culture category as one of the 25 most outstanding women in Panama.
She is currently participating in the Desde Aquí Biennial in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
She is also participating in the GRACE Exhibition Space of International Performance Arts in New York City.
Statement
Blanca is an artist who captures free strokes on the canvas with energy, making clear her good command of the abstract and contemporary technique, in addition to taking her art to the physical movement known as action art, inspiring many to integrate and get involved in her style that characterizes her personality, allowing her originality in this branch and in national plastic arts.
