During Pinta Panamá Art Week, a guided tour open to the public at the Mercantil Collection invited visitors to explore Expanded Forms of Drawing, an exceptional selection of works that open new paths through line, gesture, and imagination.
As part of its centennial celebration, Mercantil opened the doors of its emblematic headquarters in Panama to present to the public a curated selection of its visual arts collection—one of the most established in the continent.
With more than 25 years of trajectory, the Mercantil Collection has been a key player in the preservation, dissemination, and critical engagement with visual arts in Latin America. This guided tour offered a unique opportunity to experience its cultural project up close.
In addition, the Mercantil Auditorium hosted the FORO with the public and free-access panel “The Current Art Market: Local and International Perspectives”, featuring Antonio Murzi, María Sancho-Arroyo, and Johann Wolfschoon.
We are grateful for Mercantil’s support as Local Lead Partner of Pinta Panamá Art Week.
