Mario Núñez
Bio
Mario Núñez (Mexico City, 1963) is a renowned Mexican painter and printmaker. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas at UNAM and the Taller de Experimentación Gráfica CIEP at INBA. Over his career, he has held numerous solo exhibitions, such as “Marañas” at Le Laboratoire gallery (2017) and “Dentro y fuera” at the Museo de la Cancillería (2015), among others. His work has been displayed at prestigious museums like the Museo de Arte Moderno and Museo Carrillo Gil, and he has participated in international fairs such as Hot Art Basel and ZONA MACO. He has received multiple awards, including the Premio de Adquisición at the Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas in 1988 and the FONCA grant several times.

Mario Núñez’s artistic practice focuses on painting and printmaking, exploring the intersection of space, perception, and memory.
